Elements to meditation

Developed by Srinivas Arka through many years of personal research, study and direct experience, it has helped people around the world to develop their unique, special qualities and enrich their lives.

It is a practical, step-by-step approach, to exploring one’s true potential for experiencing peace and harmony within, which can make a positive contribution to health.

You start the journey with your feet and then climb to the crown of the head, touching various points along the way; it is an adventure in self-discovery. The touch, synchronised with breath and sound, instils a powerful magnetic force into each point of the body. The whole sequence weaves together in a beautiful symphony of touch, breath and sound which harmonises the body and mind and automatically relaxes the brain.

breath.

Controlling one’s breathing means controlling one’s emotion. Controlling emotion by controlling breathing is physical. The control of breathing through emotion is a mystical experience. Arka Dhyana Intuitive Meditation.

Forceful deep breathing may produce some temporary benefits but it can cause problems. However, letting everything flow naturally like a river, with only subtle graceful navigation, gives long-lasting positive results, energy and inspiration.

Through breath, you can connect with your inner self. Breathing symbolically reminds you of every moment, of every rhythmic pulse of the life-force.

The magic of breath is that the moment we become conscious of it, our breath becomes a little deeper. This helps our thoughts to become settled. Slow breathing, gives us a clue to the essence of real meditation.

If breathing is understood and experienced, you can tune in to the rhythm of the body, with nature and other living beings. When you become absolutely absorbed in your breath, it becomes very subtle and you acquire spiritual insights and experiences.

Breathing is a natural act, both voluntary and involuntary, between the palpable body and the touch less spirit within. It is physical, yet mystical, and when consciously embraced in silence, it is a spiritual experience.

sound.

Humming causes vibrations that beneficially affect both our physical and our subtle forms.

The humming sound vibrates in the mouth, tongue, palate, throat, nasal passage and head, as well as throughout the whole body. Humming also stimulates the different nerve centers to release healing energy, leaving you feeling healthy, energetic, and cheerful.

An integral part of the Arka Dhyana Intuitive Method is the pronunciation and humming of a mystical sound: SAA-ROO-GO-VAUM. The sound “SAA-ROO-GO-VAUM” is an amalgamation of many sounds within one word. Having no explicit literal meaning, this sound bypasses the mind and directly enters your heart level awareness. Therefore, it will not distract your attention or create images while you practice Arka Dhyana.

In order to derive greater benefits, one has to master the frequency and pronunciation with the guidance of an experienced instructor. See list of certified trainers here.

The resonance and reverberation of this sound is blissfully intoxicating and enhances the feeling of the objects of consciousness (material world, physical body, mind, spiritual consciousness) embracing the self or spirit and your whole presence.

touch.

It invites your conscious awareness and energies to rise to the surface from the deeper recesses of the body, and it feels like some form of light manifests in that region. You may not see it, but you feel the warmth, energy and magnetism as your presence revitalizes that region with your own conscious touch. It is so comforting and unifying that you feel deeply connected with your deeper Self.

Touch invites your conscious awareness and energies to rise to the surface from the deeper recesses of the body, and it feels like some form of light manifests in that region. You may not see it, but you feel the warmth, energy and magnetism as your presence revitalises that region with your own conscious touch.

In this method we touch the key points in the body in a flowing sequence (these are demonstrated in detail in the Arka Dhyana Intuitive Meditation book), providing a deep conscious touch at each point, not just an ordinary physical touch.

It is so comforting and unifying that you feel deeply connected with your deeper Self. Our own natural touch has innatepowerful healing qualities and we must not neglect any energy centres in the body if we want the whole body to thirve and be consciously awakened.
